Marisa Isbell, Practice Owner, PA-C, CAQ-PSYCH

Marisa has 4 years of experience in community mental health. She graduated with her Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Daemen College in Amherst, NY in 2019. Upon graduation, Marisa moved to Asheville, NC, and started working in community mental health in July of 2019. After working in community mental health for 2 years, she obtained a certificate of additional qualifications (CAQ) in psychiatry through National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
Marisa has worked with patient's with various different psychiatric diagnoses including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, major depressive disorder, PTSD, generalized anxiety disorder, substance use disorders, and many more. Marisa's specialties include treating schizophrenia and bipolar disorder with or without co occurring substance use disorders, treatment resistant depression, and working with adults with co occurring mental health conditions and developmental disabilities. Marisa sees patients age 18 and older and is currently accepting new patients.

In addition to her passion of working with patients with mental health conditions, Marisa enjoys spending time with her husband and her dog, Milo. Marisa also loves the water and seeks for River of hope to be reflective of the peaceful and meditative nature of the water.
